UALR’s Department of Music will present a guitar ensemble at 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Building.

The ensemble, under the direction of Michael Carenbauer, will perform a variety of works, including a guitar trio – guitarists Justin Bybee, Samuel Lopez, and Daniel Vazquez – performing works by Henry Purcell and Chick Corea.

Student guitarists Read Admire, John Burnette, Curtis Hall, Terry Johnson, Lucas Murray, and Jason Oulette, and drummer Adam Tompkins will perform in a jazz guitar and rhythm section.

The program concludes with three Carenbauer compositions.
