Dates for the 2009 Steve Shields Basketball Camps have been finalized. The Trojan coaching staff will host three sessions at the Jack Stephens Center, with each session featuring a morning mini-camp for kids entering grades kindergarten through third and an afternoon session for children in grades four through 12.

The three sessions will be held June 8-12, June 22-26 and July 13-17. Each session will feature a mini-camp for kids entering grades K-3 from 8 to 10 a.m., followed by a regular camp session for children entering grades 4-12 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Due to an NCAA-mandated “dead period,” children who are considered prospective student-athletes may not attend the final session, limiting participation in the regular camp to children entering grades 4-6.

The cost of each session is $95 per child for the mini-camp and $195 per camper for the regular camp. Each session will be held at the Jack Stephens Center, located on the UALR campus at the corner of University Avenue and 28th Street.

Registration for each session will be held on the first day of camp. Mini-camp registration will take place from 7:30 to 8 a.m., with registration for the regular camp session running from 10 to 10:30 a.m.
