Trojans Think Pink Weekend Set for Oct.16-17

UALR’s “Trojans Think Pink Weekend” is set for Oct. 16-17  to highlight the women’s soccer and volleyball programs and supporting the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

At 7 p.m. Friday, Oct.16, the soccer team hosts North Texas at the Burns Park Soccer Complex. At 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, the volleyball team hosts University of Louisiana-Monroe at the Jack Stephens Center. Both soccer and volleyball teams will support the breast cancer cause by wearing pink uniforms, and fans will receive free pink T-shirts while supplies last.

Betty Jo Stephens, former UALR athlete, coach, and administrator as well as a breast cancer survivor, will be honored at the volleyball game Saturday. A table will also be set up with information about the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

This is the first year that the soccer and volleyball teams have participated in the support of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, which is hosting the annual Race for the Cure on Saturday, Oct.  17. The volleyball team is also supporting the Dig for a Cure campaign.

Wear pink and come support the UALR soccer and volleyball programs for the “Trojans Think Pink Weekend.”
