New International Services Director Named
Wang-Yun Chao is UALR’s new international student advisor for the Office of International Services.
Wang-Yun, a native of Taiwan, earned a master of business administration degree from Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo. She worked in business immigration law for the past four years in East Brunswick, N.J., prior to moving to Little Rock.
The Office of International Students Services, located in Stabler Hall 105, provides comprehensive assistance and support for 485 international students at UALR. Representing more than 60 countries, the distinguished international students and scholars enrich the educational experience for all members of the University’s community.
“While I am new to the campus, I am thrilled to see the potential for growth and interaction that already exists for international student here at UALR,” Wang-Yun said. “I hope to utilize my personal and professional background to aid UALR’s international community, and to increase interactions between international and domestic students. Also, through increasing our level of service to the campus community, I hope the Office of International Services can play a role in raising awareness and building enduring relationships between the UALR community and other countries.”
