Margaret “Peggy” Wiese-Krallman

Administrative assistant in UALR’s Office of Student Housing, Margaret “Peggy” Wiese-Krallman died in a traffic accident Friday, May 28, on her way to work. A funeral was held on Tuesday, June 1, and she was laid to rest in the Pinecrest Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Wayne Krallman, father Curtis Rathburn of Haskell, a brother, and a stepbrother.

Cortney Michael Cook

Cortney Michael Cook, 27, an undergraduate at UALR with an undeclared major, died Sunday, May 30, in a one-car traffic accident. He was the son of state Rep. David Cook and his wife Phyllis of Williford. A manager at the Peabody Hotel in Little Rock, Cook was a graduate of Hoxie High School.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Steve Cook. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, sister, and a grandmother.

The funeral service will be at the Bryan Funeral Home in Hoxie at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 2.
