Dr. Andrew Eshleman, associate professor of philosophy and liberal studies, is the new president of the UALR Faculty Senate. One of his first official duties is to convene a University Assembly at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Dickinson Hall Auditorium.

On the agenda is opening of the semester addresses by Chancellor Joel E. Anderson and Provost David O. Belcher. Dr. Carol Thompson will also talk about UALR’s Academy for Learning and Teaching Excellence.
