Ambassador Visits for Arkansas Mexico 2010
His Excellency Arturo Sarukhán, Mexico’s ambassador to the United States, spoke to central Arkansas leaders this week at the Clinton Presidential Center, inaugurating central Arkansas’ commemoration of the bicentennial of Mexico’s independence and the centennial of its 1910 revolution.
UALR Chancellor Joel E. Anderson introduced the ambassador at the lunch as part of the Arkansas Mexico 2010 Project in which UALR, the cities of Little Rock and North Little Rock, the Clinton Foundation, and others have collaborated to encourage and coordinate local events highlighting the history of Mexico and United States-Mexican relations.
