Insurance Execs Praise Powell Publication
Dr. Lawrence “Lars” Powell, associate professor and Whitbeck-Beyer Chair of Insurance & Financial Services in the Department of Economics and Finance, presented his monograph “Consumer Choice in Auto Repair: The Politics and Economics of Automobile Insurance Repair Practices” at the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies convention in San Diego last week.
Power was the lead author of the work, which was selected as the NAMIC’s annual public policy paper.
“Dr. Powell has been a valuable asset to our public policy research and development program for several years,” said Robert Detlefsen, the group’s vice president of public policy. “His unique combination of scholarly and practical expertise is highly valued throughout our industry.”
Detlefsen also said his organization appreciated the College of Business’ commitment to high-quality insurance research and polity analysis.
