UALR Theatre’s “The Ladies Man” Continues Through Oct. 10
The UALR Theatre production of The Ladies Man by Georges Feydeau and adapted by Charles Morey, opens Thursday, Sept. 30, and runs through Sunday, Oct. 10, in Haislip Theatre in the Center for Performing Arts. Opening night is sold out, but tickets are available for other performances through Oct 9.
Performances at 8 p.m. through Oct. 2, 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, and again at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Oct. 7 to 9. General admission is $7 or $5 for students.
The Ladies Man derives its comical situation from an innocent discretion.
“The play is a typical French farce complete with convoluted deceptions, misunderstandings and mistaken identities,” said Jay Raphael, chair of the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance. “It’s complete with the usual slamming doors and a host of scary mothers-in-law, suspicious wives, jealous husbands and well-intentioned innocent bystanders.”
