Volunteer for Next Racial Attitudes Conference

The UALR Institute on Race and Ethnicity is seeking volunteers to help with the 2012 Racial Attitudes in Pulaski County Conference. This year’s conference will be held March 15, 2012, and will focus on media reporting as it relates to race relations in Arkansas.

The event will include a panel discussion from Arkansas media personalities from every genre of news reporting.

Students have an opportunity to help make this year’s conference a success by volunteering in the following areas:

  • Greeters
  • Ushers
  • Parking attendants
  • Registration table attendants
  • Note takers
  • Round table moderators
  • Set-up and breakdown
  • Bilingual Spanish language speakers and interpreters
  • Pre-conference organization
  • Other duties as needed
