Dr. William E. Garner, associate professor of rehabilitation counseling in the Department of Counseling, Adult and Rehabilitation Education, has been elected vice president of the Southwest Region National Rehabilitation Association (SWNRA).

The SWNRA includes members from Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico.

Arkansas will host the 2012 SWNRA Annual Training Conference at the Arlington Resort Hotel and Spa in Hot Springs May 23 to 25.
