Charitable Giving Goes Campus-wide
The spirit of giving is in full swing at UALR. The campus community is giving back this holiday season with through the following charities and events.
Toys for Tots – Campus Life and Non-Traditional Students
The Office of Campus Life and the Non-Traditional Student Organization are collecting toys for Toys for Tots program, an annual drive sponsored by the Marine Corps Reserve.
According to Cynda Alexander, the Non-Traditional Student programs coordinator, “the primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate children that will encourage them to become responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.”
The toys should be new and unwrapped. Toy and monetary donations can be dropped off at the Non-Traditional Student office by December 14. Arrangements can also be made with Cynda Alexander for pickups.
Gifts for Ages 9-18 – UALR Children International
The staff of UALR Children International is collecting gifts for children ages nine to 18.
Donated gifts can be dropped off at the UALR CI office at 2510 Fair Park Blvd. until Dec. 10. Wrapping is unnecessary – the CI “elves” will handle that. Once wrapped, the gifts will be hand-delivered to a deserving UALR CI child.
