The UALR William H. Bowen School of Law Director of Communications, Tonya Oaks Smith, has been named to the Board of Directors for the Higher Education Web Professionals Association.

Smith is the co-chair of the HighEdWeb Regional Support Committee, and manages the website, communications, marketing, and public relations for the Bowen School.

She served on the UALR Campus Campaign Steering Committee and is also on the board of IABC Arkansas as its vice president of university outreach.

HighEdWeb is an organization of web professionals working at institutions of higher education. HighEdWeb strives to advance web professionals, technologies and standards in higher education. The organization started in 1999 as a strategic alliance of web professionals in New York state higher education.
