The UALR Department of Music presents the Jazz Ensemble in concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the UALR Fine Arts Building.

The ensemble features student musicians on saxophones, trombones, trumpets, and rhythm section under the direction of Michael Underwood, UALR music instructor and trombone player.

The saxophone section is comprised of Jonathan Baker and Michael Eubanks on alto saxophone, Jerry Williams and Zachary Martin on tenor saxophone, and Madelyn Ferpotto on baritone saxophone.

The Trombone section is Ethan Shepard, Shawn Bryan, Joshua Taylor, and John Pearson.

Dr. Nickolas Jovanovic, William Byrd, Matthew Blackburn, and Terry Lovelace round out the trumpet section. The rhythm section includes Lucas Murray on guitar, Korey Fells on piano, Andrew Hegg on bass, and Samuel Byrd on the drum set.
