Alum to oversee headquarters of Lions Clubs International

A University of Arkansas at Little Rock alumnus has been appointed executive administrator of Lions Clubs International.

Scott Drumheller, UALR alumnusScott Drumheller will oversee operations at the organization’s international headquarters in Oak Brook, Ill., for both the association and Lions Clubs International Foundation, the charitable arm of LCI.

Drumheller will also continue to serve as the association’s secretary, a position he has held since 2006.

“I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to serve the association in my new capacity,” said Drumheller. “I’m looking forward to supporting our members, growing our membership, and furthering our incredible legacy of service around the world.”

Drumheller, an attorney, joined LCI in September 2003 as its general counsel.

Prior to his work with LCI, Drumheller practiced law with three Chicago-area law firms, and he continues to counsel companies and non-profit organizations in labor and employment law, as well as corporate governance matters. Drumheller also taught human resources, management and leadership courses for 13 years as an adjunct professor at Judson University in Elgin, Ill.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Harding University in 1991, an MBA from UALR in 1994, and a Juris Doctor degree from the DePaul University College of Law in 1998.

“We’re fortunate to have a talented leader like Scott at the helm of our organization,” said LCI President Barry Palmer, of Australia. “He’s ready to lead this association into the future, and we’re looking forward to continued growth and success under his leadership.”

Since the association’s founding in 1917, Lions clubs around the world have aided the blind and visually impaired, championed youth initiatives and strengthened local communities through hands-on service and humanitarian projects.
