Wade-Carter named new police chief
Regina Wade-Carter was appointed Director of Public Safety and UALR Chief of Police, effective Dec. 1.
Wade-Carter was named Interim Chief of Police over the summer following the resignation of the former chief.
“She brings a wealth of UALR experience and expertise to this critical position having served as both a campus police officer and as a staff member in the registrar’s office,” said Vice Chancellor of Finance and Administration Bob Adams.
“The university community will be well-served with Chief Wade-Carter in this key leadership position as we continue to make UALR a safe and inviting place for both students and employees.”
Wade-Carter has worked at UALR for 19 years, including eight years in Public Safety.
She has an undergraduate degree in political science and a master’s degree in public administration from UALR.
