Dr. Nitin Agarwal to give social media keynote in Europe
A social media researcher from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock is slated to give a keynote speech at an international conference in Spain.
Dr. Nitin Agarwal, UALR’s Jerry L. Maulden-Entergy chair, will deliver the presentation during the fifth International Conference on Social Media Technologies, Communication, and Informatics, set for the week of Nov. 15 in Barcelona.
On Thursday, Nov. 19, Agarwal is scheduled to give his talk: “Understanding sociotechnical behaviors in social media — the good, bad, and ugly.”
In addition, Agarwal will present a paper he worked on with his part-time doctoral student Amit Saha, a senior data scientist at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. The paper is titled, “Helping hands of autism blogger community in social media platforms.”
Agarwal is a professor of information science in the UALR George W. Donaghey College of Engineering and Information Technology and a highly sought expert in the field of social media research.
