Campus invited to interdisciplinary research colloquium March 30

Dr. Nitin Agarwal and Dr. Eric Wiebelhaus-Brahm

Dr. Nitin Agarwal, Jerry L. Maulden-Entergy chair and professor of Information Science, and Dr. Eric Wiebelhaus-Brahm, assistant professor of political science, will discuss the joys, challenges, and opportunities for interdisciplinary research during a March 30 colloquium at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

The talk, sponsored by the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, will begin at 11 a.m. in Ottenheimer Library Room 535.

Key topics will include examining the challenges of interdisciplinary research, bridging theoretical and methodological divides, and evaluating interdisciplinary research for tenure and promotion.

Agarwal and Wibelhaus-Brahm will also share their experiences with approaching funding opportunities at various agencies.

Grant managers from the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs will be on hand to answer questions from faculty, staff, and students interested in sponsored programs.
