UA Little Rock students earn Oaklawn Foundation scholarships

Eight University of Arkansas at Little Rock students received $3,000 scholarships from the Oaklawn Foundation

Recipients include Brett Anderson, Jonathan Graves, Jasmine Lenox, Elizabeth Miller, Courtney Moore, Christopher Reyna, Michael Ugbade, and Timothy Yates.

To be considered, students must live in Garland County and have at least a high school diploma. The foundation received 469 applications for the 2017-18 scholarships.

When the foundation first awarded scholarships in 2008, 26 local students received $1,600 scholarships. This year’s recipients included 115 $3,000 scholarship recipients and three $5,000 scholarship recipients.

To date, the foundation has awarded $2.712 million through 694 scholarships.
