University of Arkansas at Little Rock

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Reach 13,000 Food Drive begins Saturday, Aug. 19, with its seventh annual kickball tournament at the Coleman Sports and Recreation Complex.

The Chancellor’s Leadership Corps Scholarship Program hosts four events to raise support for the Reach 13,000 Donation Drive. These donations are given to UA Little Rock Trojan Food Pantry, Staff Senate Helping Hands Committee, the 12th Street Clinic, and the Arkansas Foodbank.

As part of the drive, donations of nonperishable food items, children’s books, children’s coloring books, crayons, and markers are collected from August to November.

To participate in the kickball tournament, visit the tournament’s website to create a team by Wednesday, Aug. 16. Teams consist of nine to 12 players. All teams are co-ed and must have at least three female and three male players. At least one team member must be a UA Little Rock student, employee, or alumni.

The team entry fee is a donation of 60 nonperishable food items or $100. Teams can check in for the tournament at 3 p.m. The first game will begin at 4:15 p.m. Dinner will be provided.
