UA Little Rock Benton to host non-credit community courses

The UA Little Rock Benton Campus

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Benton Campus will offer non-credit community courses on learning the basic functions of a computer and starting a business in Arkansas. 

The workshop, “Learning the Basic Functions of a Computer, will start at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the Benton campus, 410 River St. The free, hands-on course will walk participants through basic computer uses, including start up, email, storing documents, and launching popular applications. The Benton Campus will also offer a seminar in “Social Media for Small Business” from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at the Benton campus.

The second course, in partnership with the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center, will show participants essential startup steps, legal business structures, regulations and licensing, key issues that affect business success, and common pitfalls entrepreneurs face.

Those interested in attending may register online by filling out this form. The cost to attend is $30. There is no charge for UA Little Rock faculty, staff, and students or for veterans.
