UA Little Rock and ACANSA bring artist Jimmy Abegg to town

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has partnered with the ACANSA Arts Festival to bring performance artist Jimmy Abegg to UA Little Rock on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

The free event, which includes a performance and gallery reception, will be 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in UA Little Rock’s Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall, 2401 S. University Ave.

“Jimmy Abegg is a musician, a singer-songwriter, a photographer, and a painter,” said Dillon Hupp, ACANSA’s executive director. “He is truly a renaissance man, and his art has been described as ‘having a tendency toward curiosity, whimsy, and simple beauty…’ We know this performance is not to be missed as Jimmy brings his many talents to the stage at the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall!”

Abegg’s performance is jointly sponsored by the Chancellor’s Concert Series at UA Little Rock and the ACANSA Arts Festival, which has been bringing nationally known artists to various central Arkansas venues since 2014.

“ACANSA is thrilled to once again be partnering with UA Little Rock to present a world-class artist to the Central Arkansas community,” Hupp said. “UA Little Rock’s commitment to the arts is well-documented, and we are always grateful for their continued support and willingness to work with organizations like ours to help make our city stronger and more engaging for all.”
