Meet The Trojans Day Set for Oct. 25
Little Rock will host its annual Meet The Trojans event on Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Jack Stephens Center. The event will once again serve as an opportunity for those who have ordered basketball season tickets to pick up their ticket packages.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with food and activities around the Jack Stephens Center concourse, followed by the official program getting underway at 6:30 p.m. All of the Little Rock athletic programs in town will have a presence at the event, organizing various activities to engage with fans. Hot dogs will be provided by First Financial Bank with concession stands open to provide drinks and other snacks.
The Trojan men’s and women’s basketball teams will be introduced at 6:30 p.m., followed by a full slate of events, including performances from the Trojan Dance Team, a three-point shooting contest, and a dunk contest. There will also be giveaways and contests for fans in attendance.
As an additional element to the evening, Little Rock will officially unveil its new mascot as fans will be able to meet and take pictures with the newest Trojan.
The event will occur one week before the Trojan men’s basketball team hosts LeMoyne-Owens in a free scrimmage on Thursday, Nov. 1. That night, fans will have the opportunity to select their seat for the 2018-19 Little Rock basketball season.
The regular season opens one week later when the Darrell Walker era gets underway with the Trojan men hosting Southeastern Oklahoma State on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 6:30 p.m. The women open their home season on Wednesday, Nov. 14, when the reigning Sun Belt Conference champions host Florida Atlantic at 6:30 p.m.
New season tickets and renewals are still being accepted and can be ordered by calling the Trojan ticket office at 565-8257.
