Students and community leaders will host a panel discussion at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock on Wednesday, March 27, about what it means to be transgender. 

The discussion will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Anderson Institute on Race and Ethnicity in Ottenheimer Library Room 202. It will include a conversation about issues of importance to people who are transgender and a question-and-answer session.

It’s planned in advance of International Transgender Day of Visibility, a March 31 event intended to celebrate transgender people and highlight discrimination issues.

The event is organized by the Alliance and Advocating for the Wellbeing and Respect of Everyone (AWARE).
