Congressman Honors Landrum as ‘Adoption Angel’
Dr. Nancy Landrum, associate professor of management, will be recognized by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute in Washington Oct. 6 as a national “Angel in Adoption.” Congressman Vic Snyder nominated Landrum for her lifelong commitment to improving the lives of children who have been abused or neglected.
Landrum has advocated on behalf of children for more than 25 years in West Virginia, Ohio, South Dakota, New Mexico, Kentucky, and Arkansas. She recently adopted siblings through the Arkansas Department of Human Services and has now found her “forever family.” She will be one of 190 “angels” honored at the gala.
The Angels in Adoption program is CCAI’s signature public awareness campaign and provides an opportunity for all members of the U.S. Congress to honor the good work of their constituents who have enriched the lives of foster children and orphans in the United States and abroad.
