Screen Printing Artist to Lecture April 12

Visiting artist Paul Andrew Wandless will present a screen printing on clay workshop and lecture on Wednesday and Thursday, April 11 and 12, sponsored by the UALR Clay Guild and the Department of Art.

Wandless will demonstrate his techniques from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, in the Fine Arts Building Room 156. He will repeat the demonstrations from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, April 12, also in room 156. He will lecture from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, in Fine Arts Building room 157.

All demonstrations and the lecture are free and open to the public.

Wandless earned his M.A. degree from Minnesota State University in 1997 and his M.F.A. degree from Arizona State University in 1999. He is the author or co-author of two books on transferring images to clay surfaces and alternative kiln and firing methods, one DVD on screen printing on clay, a contributing author in four other books, and has written multiple magazine articles on various aspects of working with pottery.
