25 Little Rock Swimmers and Divers Land on 2019-20 MVC Honor Roll
Adding yet another academic recognition to the list following a successful season in the classroom, 25 members of the Little Rock swimming and diving team were named to the 2019-20 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Honor Roll, making up approximately 83 percent of the entire 2019-20 roster. Earlier this year, the Trojans nabbed Scholar All-America team recognition along with a handful of MVC Scholar-Athlete Team honors.
Class of 2020 seniors Jessie Baldwin and Charis Won earned the Presidents’ Council Academic Excellence Award, the league’s highest academic achievement, out of only 116 student-athletes in the entire Missouri Valley Conference. The award requires a minimum 3.8 GPA, participation in athletics a minimum of two years, and the student-athlete must be within 18 hours of graduation by the end of the spring 2020 semester.
Eight additional swimmers and divers, whose names are listed below, received the Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award. This honor requires a minimum 3.5 GPA for each of the previous two semesters, a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA, and participation in athletics a minimum of two years.
The remaining 15 members of Little Rock swimming and diving, also listed below, qualified for the MVC Honor Roll by meeting the minimum 3.2 GPA requirement.
