The UALR Bowen School of Law experienced 7.8 percent growth in the size of its 2009 entering class, according to figures from the school’s registrar.
Students at the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law will see a new face in the legal writing classroom this semester. Visiting Professor Lyn Goering of Washburn University Law School in Topeka, Kan., will spend the fall semester on the Little Rock campus.
The Bowen School’s Alumni Association and the Young Lawyers Section of the Arkansas Bar is sponsoring a barbecue beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, under tents on the lawn in front of the McMath Avenue campus. First Security and the Moffitt and Phillips law firm are also hosting the get-together that kicks off the official start of the law school year.
UALR’s William H. Bowen School of Law will honor alumnus Rep. Vic Snyder as an outstanding graduate during its inaugural Alumni Scholarship Luncheon, planned for 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 16, at the Peabody Ballroom. Keynote speaker for the event will be Sen. Mark Pryor.
