“Does it add up? Early evidence on the data quality of XBRL filings to the SEC,” a manuscript by Dr. Stephanie Farewell, associate professor of accounting in UALR’s College of Business, has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Accounting and Public Policy.
Farewell is rapidly earning a national reputation as the expert in the accounting field of XBRL.
“Reasonable Cause Defense to Underpayment in the Partnership Context,” an article by UALR Professor Robert R. Oliva, chair of the Department of Accounting, and accounting instructor Roger Dorsey, was published in the March issue of Warren, Gorham, and Lamont’s Practical Tax Strategies/Taxation for Accountants.
Neil Weinberg, Forbes Media senior editor and co-host, analyst, and commentator for the weekly television program “Forbes on Fox,” will discuss “Ethical Failure: How Rampant Corruption is Wrecking the U.S. Economy” at the second College of Business Dean’s Forum Speaker Series on April 12. The event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Rolf T Wigand, UALR’s Maulden-Entergy Chair and Distinguished Professor of Information Science and Management, was the author or co-author of seven published papers last fall that focused on electronic markets, information quality, the convergence of real and virtual worlds, measuring the quality of e-service, and other research that is expanding the scope of e-commerce.
