A University of Arkansas at Little Rock researcher is part of a team working to improve the lives of millions of senior citizens and others with mobility challenges.
With funding from a more than $1 million National Institutes of Health grant, the researchers are developing a quadrupedal human-assistive robotic platform, or Q-HARP, a support device that could help seniors stay active and live independently.

A University of Arkansas at Little Rock researcher has been named an Arkansas Research Alliance (ARA) Fellow.
Dr. Cang Ye, a professor in the UALR Department of Systems Engineering, was one of five researchers honored during a Thursday, Dec. 10, news conference at the State Capitol building in Little Rock.
A new grant from the Department of the Navy, Office of Naval Research (ONR) will help a University of Arkansas at Little Rock professor further establish himself as a leader in social media research.
The grant, which builds on a previous ONR-funded project that Dr. Nitin Agarwal conducted, enables him and his team to dig deeper into the organized use of social media by deviant groups to spread misinformation, stoke violence and panic, and conduct recruitment and radicalization campaigns.
