Other estimated costs specific to the AAS program are:

  • Nursing books/supplies: $1,867 to $1,897 – total program
  • Uniforms: $100
  • Assessment tests: $745 (2 payments split between first and second year of program)
  • Clinical Lab Fee: $30 per credit hour
  • Sim Supply Fee: $15 per credit hour for courses with simulation

Financial Aid

UA Little Rock offers grants, scholarships, and loans. Information is available through the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid (501-916-3035, Student Services Center).

Scholarships

Awarded to an admitted nursing student. Award will be based on academic record, financial need, and professionalism. A writing sample should be submitted with the application. The application period begins in June.

  • CHI St. Vincent Pathway Scholarship

Awarded to an admitted traditional nursing student entering their 2nd year of the nursing program or an LPN/Paramedic to RN student entering the nursing program. Award will be based on academic record, professionalism, and agreement to work for CHI St. Vincent for minimum of 24 months after graduation. Letters of recommendation should be submitted with the application. The application period begins in June.

  • Saline Memorial Hospital Pathway Scholarship

Awarded to an admitted traditional nursing student. Award will be based on academic record, professionalism, and agreement to work for Saline Memorial Hospital for minimum of 24 months after graduation. Letters of recommendation should be submitted with the application. The application period begins in June.

  • Corinne E. Phillips Endowed Scholarship

Awarded to a full or part-time nursing student. Award will be based primarily on academic accomplishment and secondarily based on financial need. Award is presented in memory of Corinne E. Phillips, a devoted registered nurse in the community.

  • Florence C. Zook, R.N. Endowed Scholarship

Awarded to a full or part-time nursing student entering their 2nd year of the nursing program. Recipient must have a GPA above the average GPA of the current nursing class. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered with financial need being the determining factor if all else is equal. Award is presented in memory of Florence C. Zook, a dedicated registered nurse whose professional career exemplified compassion and caring.

  • Hazel Kriegbaum Russ Nursing Scholarship

Awarded to a full or part-time nursing student. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.

  • Patricia P. and George E. Thompson, Jr. Endowed Scholarship

Awarded to a full or part-time nursing student in the process of completing their first year of the program and who do not hold a prior degree. Financial need is strongly considered. Students considered for this scholarship shall be selected by first year faculty. Preference is given to applicants who are progressing in the nursing program but otherwise would not be awarded an academic scholarship.

  • Phyllis Ann Bailey Endowed Scholarship

Awarded to a full or part-time nursing student. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.
