Program Overview
The information quality graduate certificate program provides an integrated curriculum that covers both theory and practice.
The 12-hour program, which can be completed in two semesters, offers graduate students and working professionals opportunities to enhance IQ career entry and growth through specialized study.
The certificate program also provides a convenient entry into the Master of Science in information quality (MSIQ) program for students who want to continue their IQ studies. All of the courses required for the graduate certificate are offered online via live webcast (synchronous) and count toward the M.S. Students can expect instruction by highly qualified doctoral-level faculty with extensive experience in the field.
Program Details
Admission Requirements
Anyone with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited school can apply for admission to the program. Candidates who have a background in computer programming, database concepts, and applied statistics, or who have professional experience in an information quality role will be the most prepared to enter and successfully complete the program.
Regular Admission requirements
• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution
• 3.0 cumulative grade point average
• Minimum TOEFL score 71 or IELTS score 6.5
• Completion of any remedial course work that may be specified by the department. Students seeking regular admission to the program are expected to have completed (with a grade of B or better in each course) course work or have professional experience equivalent to the following UALR courses:
IFSC 2300 Object-Oriented Technology
IFSC 3320 Database Concepts
STAT 2350 Intro to Statistical Methods

Graduation Requirements
Students must complete the prescribed 12 hours of courses with a 3.0 or better GPA.
Note: The GRE requirement for application to the MSIQ is waived for students who have completed the certificate program with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
