Program Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Education in middle level education degree prepares students to teach grades 4-8. Graduates will be eligible for Arkansas licensure in two middle level content areas of their choosing—math, science, language arts, and/or social studies.
The 120-hour program provides a comprehensive understanding of young adolescent learners and of the need for a learning environment that is responsive to students’ developmental needs. Students will also gain expertise in teaching field content and pedagogy.
The program coordinator will assess each applicant’s transcript on an individual basis and help develop a customized program for that student.
