The Office of the Provost invites you to the Dena Kay Jones Piano Recital, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall of the Fine Arts Building.
Reception to be held prior to concert at 6:45 p.m.

The recital represents the official launch of UALR’s Diversity and Inclusion Initiative, a plan to build a positive and welcoming culture for everyone who comes to campus – whether they work, live, or learn here.
Jones is a faculty member of the University of Texas at El Paso and a soloist and chamber musician who has performed throughout the United States, Spain, Italy, Mexico and Canada.
She specializes in Spanish piano music of the 20th Century. The audience can expect masterpieces by some of Spain’s finest composers, including Joaquin Rodrigo, Enrique Granados, and Isaac Albéniz.
Hear movements from Manuel de Falla’s ballet, El Amor Brujo (The Bewitched Love) and the famous Danza ritual del Fuego (Dance of Fire).
The recital is coordinated by Professor Linda Holzer of the UALR Department of Music and sponsored by the Office of the Provost.
