Annual Art Student Competitive Exhibition
March 25 at 9:00 am - April 21 at 5:00 pm
The annual spring juried student art exhibition. Studio art majors and minors can submit up to four artworks for the juror to then make their selections which becomes this years exhibition. We find a juror in the visual arts with no connection to UA Little Rock. This years juror is Randy Duncan. During the exhibition reception awards are announced. Framing awards are generously donated by Cantrell Gallery, Gallery 26, Hearne Fine Art and Michael’s Arts and Crafts (a new award donor this year). Materials Awards are generously donated by Art Outfitters, Alman Recycling Company and Michael’s Arts and Crafts. Starving Artist awards are generously donated by Boulevard Bread Company, The Root Cafe, Trio’s Restaurant and Doe’s Eat Place (a new award donor this year). And a very new award this year, the Entertainment Award generously donated by The Hall Little Rock. Wilma and Jack Diner established three awards many years ago that we have always been gratefully to award students: the Scholarship Award, the Purchase Award and the Cash Award.
