Lisa Geertsen: artWORKS Blacksmithing Workshop

If you have an interest in learning the art of blacksmithing, this class will get you started! Lisa Geertsen is a female-identifying blacksmith who is dedicated to creating safe spaces for all to learn this historically male-dominated craft. Students will learn basic forging techniques such as hammer control, tapering, twisting, cutting, punching holes, and bending. This 2-day workshop will give students the skills to move forward with personal projects. No experience is necessary.
