Piranesi Lecture by Dr. Floyd Martin

Learn about the famous 18th century printmaker Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-78) and view a small exhibition of some of his works on Friday, March 17 at 1 pm in the Windgate Center of Art and Design on the UA Little Rock campus. Dr. Floyd Martin, Professor Emeritus of Art History will give a short presentation about the artist and then discuss some of the works. Many of the works shown are from the Thompson-Cromwell Portfolio, which was once owned by Little Rock architects Charles Thompson and Edwin Cromwell, and one was owned by Olga Elwood, a UA Little Rock graduate who researched the portfolio.
