Learn how to preserve food during your busy harvest so you can enjoy your garden bounty year-round, save money, and eliminate waste. Preserving food helps to ensure that your food stays safe to eat, is full of flavor, lasts longer, and saves money.
This event is supported by the UA Little Rock’s Campus Garden, Office of Extended Education, and is in partnership with the Pulaski Conservation District.
Workshop instructor and Campus Garden Beekeeper, Peter Stuckey, has been keeping honey bees since 2012. The Introduction to Beekeeping workshop offers classroom instruction from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. followed by optional hive openings at the Campus Garden.

Weather permitting, we will open and examine several hives
