Students Abigail Resendiz, Noah Asher, Zachary Cochran and Anna Helm, along with their mentor, Business and Innovation Consultant Martial Trigeaud, finished Third Place in the overall competition. Noah Asher also won a Special Innovation Award separately from the business plan competition his group was competing in. The team’s presentation was for Vascugenix, a patented medical device to help surgeons perform arterial catheterization with one hand and with greater speed and accuracy.

Their placing in the E-Fest 2019 elite entrepreneurship event comes after a string of several other successful events for the UA Little Rock business plan team. They also recently made the semifinals in the Rice Business Plan Competition and won two of the top honors at the Arkansas Governor’s Cup Collegiate Business Plan Competition. Their string of successes have been featured in Arkansas Money & Politics.
