Campus Safety Awareness Month is an initiative to promote safety awareness to the campus community. During the month, the Division of Student Affairs, Office of Title IX, and Department of Public Safety will utilize the opportunity to remind the campus community about safety issues and ways community members can protect themselves. The cooperation, involvement, and support of faculty, staff, and students is crucial to the success of Campus Safety Awareness Month.
Tuesday, Sept. 3 – University Police Department (UPD) Meet and Greet

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to a break with our DPS police officers and other emergency responders for our campus community. DPS will distribute safety tips for the campus, in particular, the Trojan Safety App.
Wednesday, Sept. 4 – Title IX Information Table

Come meet the UA Little Rock Title IX Coordinator and get important information on Title IX at UA Little Rock.
Thursday, Sept. 5 – Sexual Health Awareness Table

Students are invited to this tabling event to learn about sexual health and ways to prevent sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS.
Tuesday, Sept. 10 – Suicide Prevention Awareness Table

September 10th is slated as World Suicide Prevention Day around the globe. Every year, attention is drawn to this critical public health issue by focusing efforts on directing treatment to those who need it most and remembering those affected by suicide. Sponsored by the Multicultural Center, students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to come learn more about suicide prevention.
