What Does Age Got to Do with It?

March 11, 2020 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Thirty-five percent of Americans today are 50+. Aging Baby Boomers alone, ages 56-74, compose 25% of our population. Definitions of aging are broad: chronological, biological, psychological, and social. We all need to understand the effects of an aging society, which can be both positive and negative.

Learning Objectives:

  • Be able to explain the different definitions of aging.
  • Clarify the importance of older adults, including Baby Boomers, to the aging of the American population.
  • Understand that there are both positive and negative implications of an aging society.
