Before we begin designing an online course, we’re tasked with thinking about all of the moving parts connecting each other, such as, content, assignments, assessment, etc.. For instance, think about how a traditional map works. It’s created to connect paths to different terrains around the world, in a way that is easy, precise and concise.

In the session, we will introduce course mapping. We are going to create a map that aligns the course’s learning objectives, instructional material, and assessments, in a way that allows us to seamlessly build and create materials in an online course.
