René A. Shroat-Lewis, Assistant Professor of Earth Sciences
- Dr. Shroat-Lewis has shared her knowledge in presentations in many community settings, including at the Arkansas School of Math, Science, and Art, Hall High, Parkview Magnet High, Dunbar Magnet Middle, LifeQuest of Arkansas, and geology clubs in Little Rock and Hot Springs.
- She has judged fossil presentations for several schools and served as a fossil expert for multiple events at the Museum of Discovery as well as instructed merit badges for Boy Scouts of America.
- Dr. Shroat-Lewis is a Climate Reality Leader and has presented to many local groups, including aUA Little Rock Earthtalk! series lecture broadcast on UA Little Rock TV.
- Dr. Shroat-Lewis serves on the Association of Women Geoscientists Chrysalis Scholarship committee, which awards a scholarship for women who have experienced a “life challenge” interruption in their graduate program.
