J Students
J-1 students and their dependents are required by the Department of State to be insured at all times. LewerMark does not enroll J-2 dependents at this time. For questions about dependent insurance, email internationalservices@ualr.edu
J Exchange Visitors
At the time of orientation and reporting, J-1 exchange visitors, research scholars, and student interns may submit proof of alternate health insurance coverage for themselves and any accompanying dependents, which meet the requirements above. Otherwise, J-1 visitors will be enrolled in the LewerMark health insurance plan for the duration of their program. Failure to maintain sufficient coverage will result in termination of immigration status. Be advised that scholars who select outside coverage will not have access to UA Little Rock Health Services.
