UALR Community Choir to perform “Messiah: Passion and Resurrection”

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Community Chorus and Praeclara will perform an original production of George Friderick Handel’s “Messiah: Passion and Resurrection” 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at Second Presbyterian Church of Little Rock.

This performance will focus on the Easter movements of Handel’s masterwork. From the pensive opening chorus “Behold the Lamb of God” through the triumphant “Worthy is the Lamb,” a large choir of over 100 singers comments on the events of the passion and resurrection in conversation with a smaller choir of 18 elite singers.

UALR students and employees are eligible for one free general admission ticket to the concert. Additional tickets are $20 each.
