The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has named Christina Smith director of development and external relations for the College of Social Sciences and Communication.

In her new role, Smith serves as a valued member of the university fundraising team. Her responsibilities include identifying and engaging with existing and prospective college donors.

Smith already had a wealth of knowledge about the College of Social Sciences and Communication, having served as the assistant to Dean Lisa Bond-Maupin.

She previously worked in the nonprofit and public sectors and is an adjunct instructor in the nonprofit leadership studies program at the College of Social Sciences and Communication.

In addition, Smith serves as a member of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) Little Rock and on the board of directors for local nonprofit Real Images, Inc.

Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Tulsa and a Master of Public Administration from The University of Oklahoma.
