UALR alum Calum Neff breaks another world record
University of Arkansas at Little Rock alumnus Calum Neff set a world record – again.
During the Oct. 16 Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, Calum Neff broke the Guinness World Record for fastest marathon pushing a pram.
While running with his oldest daughter, 4-year-old Alessandra, Neff ran a time of two hours, 31 minutes, and 21 seconds, beating the world record by 11 minutes. Overall, Neff, a former UALR cross country and track and field team member, finished with the 18th fastest time of all runners in the marathon.
Neff has made a habit of running with his children ever since Alessandra was a baby. In February, he beat the Guinness World Record for Fastest Half Marathon Pushing a Pram in one hour, 11 minutes, and 27 seconds, while competing in the Feb. 6 Katy Half Marathon with his then 11-month-old daughter, Holland.
He was also part of a 12-person relay team in May that set a new Guinness World Record for furthest distance run on a treadmill in 24 hours to raise funds and awareness for MitoCanada in support of caring for and curing Mitochondrial disease.
