New Trojans arrive for Freshman Orientation

Be on the lookout for new Trojans as incoming students descend upon the campus of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock for the summer’s first freshman orientation sessions.  

Holly Meadows, coordinator for New Student and Family Programs at UA Little Rock, said that more than 100 students attended the first freshman orientation on June 1.

Two more orientations are planned for this week. So far, 109 students are registered to attend orientation on Wednesday, June 6, and 96 for Friday, June 8.

During orientation, students meet with an academic advisor, register for fall classes, and learn about being a Trojan.

Incoming freshmen can still sign up for orientations on Tuesday, June 19; Thursday, June 21; Tuesday, July 24; Friday, July 27, and Friday, Aug. 3.

Out-of-town students who need a place to stay the night before orientation can apply to stay in one of UA Little Rock’s residence halls for $35 a night by filling out this online form.
