UA Little Rock to kick-off semester with Welcome Back Week
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will welcome its returning students with a week of fun-filled events to help kick start the spring 2019 semester.
The first event of the Welcome Back Week celebration is sure to get students energized and excited about the start of the new year. Students can enjoy free coffee and donuts before heading to class on Tuesday, Jan. 22, and Wednesday, Jan. 23. The morning treats will be available from 7-10 a.m. in the Donaghey Student Center foyer and 9 a.m. to noon in the Reynolds Business Building.
The Student Affairs Success Initiatives office will launch a student book club discussion of former first lady Michelle Obama’s book, “Becoming,” from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Jan. 22. Students can stop at the Donaghey Student Center Leadership Lounge to pick up a free copy of the book.
The UA Little Rock Non-Traditional Programs office will host a hot cocoa and cider station from 4-6 p.m. on Jan. 22 and Jan. 23 in Donaghey Student Center outside room 216.
On Jan. 23, students will show off their musical talents singing karaoke from 6:30-9 p.m. in Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall.
On Thursday, Jan. 24, a registered student organization fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center lower concourse. That evening, students can join friends for a gameshow at 6:30 p.m. in Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Hall.
