UA Little Rock to hold Winter Coat Drive Jan. 22-25

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Trojan Marketplace Food Pantry and Career Closet works to meet the needs of students by providing food and professional clothes to students for interviews and internships. Now, they are filling another need by collecting winter coats.

The Winter Coat Drive will be held Tuesday, Jan. 22, to Friday, January 25. Donors can drop off coats from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Trojan Marketplace Food Pantry on the second floor of the Administration North building on the UA Little Rock campus.

“When it comes to thinking about an individual’s needs, it is easy to think about food or even professional attire to help with job interviews,” said Amber Wolf, coordinator of the Chancellor’s Leadership Corps, food pantry, and career closet. “But, with the winter months upon us, it is important to remember that not everyone has access to a warm, winter coat. Through our winter coat drive, we hope to meet this need that some may experience on campus.”
